Friends of Narconon President's Briefing -- Issue 74   PDF  Print  Email

What Emotions Does Drug Use Begin with?

Have you ever stopped to wonder what emotional level most kids are at when they first try drugs?

Does some life drama or tragedy push them to drugs? Is it being "down and out" that induces drug experimentation?

We are currently engaged in research for the production of our next drug education film, "Drugs and Emotions."

You'd be surprised at what our surveys show. But before I answer the above question, I'd like to offer up a game:

Write me back and let me know what emotion you think most kids are experiencing when they first start using drugs.

If you are correct, I will send you a special gift. We will also tabulate the answers and publish the results.

At that time I will also send along the answer to the question.

Knowing this information is critical to handling addiction before it starts - through proper education in the truth about drugs!

Currently, our drug education videos are in over 6,300 public schools across America.

The results keep pouring in and are conclusive evidence of the effectiveness of Narconon drug education!

Our next video, "Drugs and Emotions," is a critical phase in our Truth About Drugs Video Series.

You can help us get this video produced by sponsoring more schools today.

Did you know:

Did you know:

34 percent of teens believe adults in the community are doing a lot to solve the drug problem.
92 percent said they'd like adults to do more and
58 percent said they'd like to see adults do a lot more.
54 percent said they'd like parents to do more.

Kids really do want our help. They do know about the drug problem. For instance:

65 percent of teens ranked drugs as their top concern.
25 percent of teens ranked violence as the next concern.
21 percent of teens ranked poor education as the next concern.
17 percent of teens ranked AIDS as the next concern.
So send back your response to this question: What emotional level most kids are at when they first try drugs? and I will send you a special gift along with the survey results and THE answer!

Don't Wait! Call Friends of Narconon and sponsor a school today.

It only costs $200 to sponsor a school with our drug education videos and materials.

We have videos for Primary Schools, Junior-High and High Schools.

Each video can reach over 3,000 students during its life (only 7 cents per student!).

A public version of our school videos (which includes additional footage and material) is available on DVD for $47.
