Could This Be Your Kid? In March 2005, Flint, Michigan Police raided the "Club What's Next" on a late Friday night after witnessing instances of drug sale in or near the club as well as marijuana smoking inside the club during a "rave" party. Although police found drugs or paraphernalia on only 23 people (despite strip and body cavity searches), they arrested all 117 persons present at the scene. The remaining 94 were charged with "frequenting a drug house," a misdemeanor offense. Last Friday, a Genesee Circuit Court judge threw out those arrests, holding that Flint police had violated the constitutional rights of club-goers. In his decision, Judge Joseph Farah held that police lacked probable cause to arrest people merely for being in the club. A "rave" party is an all-night party where music and dancing take place. That would be fine if it weren't also the place kids go to get "club drugs" such as Ecstasy, GHB (also known as the "date rape drug"), "Special K" (a hallucinogen), and others. If you are a parent of teenagers, you need to know what goes on with today's youth. You also need to realize that your kids are not immune to participating in this type of activity without your knowledge. Whether it is because of a girl or a boy, simple boredom or plain curiosity, today's teenagers have more bad influences in their lives than a generation ago. Over the years we have interviewed over 100 youth ranging from 12 to 24 years old. We learned that there is a general consensus among our youth about the roles parents are and aren't playing, and what they should be doing to help their kids keep from turning to drugs. The simplicity of kids' suggestions and what they feel parents should be doing that they aren't will astound even the most knowledgeable parent. What is it that kids know, that parents don't? How would you like to get inside teenagers' minds and know what really goes on in their personal lives away from home? (See Below for a limited-time only 2-for-One Offer!) If so, then you need to see these two special features: "Why Kids Take Drugs" and "Why Parents Are the Last to Know." Both are included as part of our Marijuana The Myth DVD. Though I myself could be considered to be pretty "street wise," some of the things we uncovered in our interviews raised the hairs even on my neck! I guarantee you'll discover things you didn't know about today's kids and their lives away from home. Or I will personally send your money back! Get our DVD Marijuana The Myth and watch these two features - "Why Kids Take Drugs" and "Why Parents Are the Last to Know." They come up to about 45 minutes of vital parental education. Then watch the full feature Marijuana The Myth and share it with your children. You will get an informative look at how this drug starts kids down the spiraling path of drug abuse. Such VITAL KNOWLEDGE will help you protect and guide your children away from today's drug scene. Contact Donna Miller at Friends of Narconon and get your Marijuana The Myth DVD today!
