Is "Ecstasy" Therapeutic? If you listen to the Drug Policy Alliance on this one you will find they are very interested in finding "therapeutic" uses for this very deadly drug. Here's a statement from their web site: "...the Alliance advocates just laws and tries to prevent the enactment of exceedingly harsh penalties. DPA supports continued research on long-term effects and the potential for therapeutic uses." In 2001, steeper federal penalties for MDMA (Ecstasy) offenses went into effect, treating it more seriously than cocaine and nearly as serious as heroin. Some states have even imposed very harsh penalties, including Illinois' law in which anyone convicted of possessing fifteen doses of MDMA must serve four years in state prison. I think it is fair to say that even our government considers this drug to be a big threat, yet the Drug Policy Alliance prefers weak laws and wishes to seek "therapeutic" uses for an extremely addictive drug which can cause brain damage or death! So with all this pro-drug propaganda going on, how can we expect our youth to know the TRUTH and be able to make sane decisions about drugs? The only solution is proper education in the TRUTH about drugs. But what IS proper drug education? Through surveys done on students and teachers, we have found that they want "the truth about drugs". We also know that teachers want up-to-date information about drugs. And we have found that kids want to hear from people of have done drugs and can tell them like it is. And so, that is exactly what our Truth About Drugs video series provides. Our newest release, Xtasy The Real Story-Part 1 provides a whole new outlook on the drug Ecstasy. In its testing stage, this video has had a profound impact on both students and teachers. The only way we are going to handle the drug problem is by providing factual and truthful information about drugs. Teaching kids to use drugs "safely," as the Drug Policy Alliance would prefer, is but a covert drug-pushing strategy! Join us today in getting the truth about drugs out to our youth. Contact Sara Jonic at Friends of Narconon (1-800-882-6862) and get Xtasy The Real Story - Part 1 out to your schools today. Help us all change minds and save lives! (Sponsor a school with the Ecstasy Kit, including our school follow-up program, etc. for $200. Purchase the video for your own use for $44.95.) Sincerely, © 2006 Friends of Narconon, Intl.
