Friends of Narconon President's Briefing--Issue 25   PDF  Print  Email

Can you manipulate a population's attitude?

In 1987 73.5% of students surveyed felt that marijuana use would cause harm. This was the attitude of students back then.

They actually perceived a higher risk in taking marijuana.

However, by 1995 this dropped to only 60% and then in 2004 that perception plummeted down to only 54.6% who think marijuana can cause harm.

So one can ask, how can an entire population's think be changed in such a short period of time?

More importantly, if kids have this LOW perception of any risk, what do you think the chances are of them getting involved with drugs?

It is safe to say that the more education one has about something, the more it will affect their decisions about it.

If a kid hears nothing but positive things, sees friends having a good time, sees movie stars smoking it, etc., what can they possibly think about drugs? Bad or good?

When a statistic falls in an area there is always a reason. When you think about the billions of dollars our government spends on "fighting the war on drugs," you begin to wonder "Why does the problem seems to be getting worse?"

In all our research it has boiled down to the type of education kids get. In the last 5 years, pouring in from schools all across our nation, Friends of Narconon has seen miracle story after miracle story about our video program.

Teachers are excited, students are excited and they simply love our materials.

In a recent survey we did with California schools using our materials we found that of all the programs these schools had, our video program was used the most. This was from a survey of 950 schools.

So ask yourself, with all this money spent on fighting drugs why would the Friends of Narconon video program be the one used the most? Simple, it works.

We need everyone's help to get this vital material to our nation's schools.

Teachers are waiting with open arms to get this valuable information. With budget cuts and all the other things going on in schools, the fastest way for us to get materials to these schools is through sponsorships.

One thing for sure, your support today will reach thousands of students tomorrow With over 6 million students having watched our videos, I can guarantee you the results are beyond your wildest dreams.

Call Sara Jonic at Friends of Narconon (1-800-882-6862) today and see how you can start reaching thousands of students right now with the truth about drugs.

What better way to start off the new year than with this priceless gift. (Which is tax deductible by the way!)

Sincerely,
