Friends of Narconon President's Briefing--Issue 3   PDF  Print  Email
Scientists in the United States have identified a key protein involved in one of the most lethal side effects of the popular but illegal drug Ecstasy.

Most Ecstasy-related deaths are caused by an increase in body temperature, or hyperthermia, which leads to organ failure.

If you recall in the last story, there was a young girl who died after being sent home from the hospital.

The doctors failed to realize the actual lasting effects of Ecstasy and thus were unable to help this young girl.

If our own doctors don't even know how to handle a drug like Ecstasy, just imagine the state of affairs our youth are in.

They need the correct knowledge in order to make the right decisions.

In part 1 of our new video Ecstasy The Real Story, we provide data on how Ecstasy is marketed. The tricks of the trade.

In part 2 of our series we go into the exact L. Ron Hubbard definition of a drug and, more importantly, how exactly drugs affect the mind.

I wish I'd had this type of information when I was growing up doing drugs. I know this would have made a big difference.

Why? Because I was lied to by my friends/drug users. This situation is still happening today.

What makes things even more horrifying today is that drugs are much more powerful then they were 30 years ago. Combine this with a pure lack of knowledge on the subject of drugs and you can begin to see the uphill battle our youth have in today's world.

As if the drug Ecstasy wasn't bad enough, a lot of times the drug has other things added into it. Things like rat poison, sedatives and other chemical combinations. While it is the drug Ecstasy itself that does the most damage, nowadays kids don't know what they are taking.

They need the knowledge and understanding about drugs themselves in order to keep from using them.

That is why we do what we are doing here at Friends of Narconon.

This next video Ecstasy The Real Story will be the largest release of its kind in the entire Narconon history.

I would like to invite you all to be part of history. You can donate time, money or both. But lets work together to get this vitally needed technology out to our kids!

You can send donations for schools or production. Or come on over and help us out!

Sincerely,
Robert Hernandez * CCDC

A surprisingly high number of 35-year-old American women and men abuse alcohol and use illicit drugs. A study of 7,541 people found more than 32 percent of men reported heavy drinking, defined as at least five drinks in a row, at least once in the two weeks before they were surveyed. Nearly 13 percent of men and 7 percent of women reported the use of marijuana in the previous month. Eight percent of women and 7 percent of men reported they misused prescription drugs in the previous year.
